Learning About a Healthy Lifestyle > The Fruit of the Spirit - Kindness

Who is the kindest person you know? What is it about that person that stands out?

Define kindness:

Read Titus 3:3-7.

God responded to our ungodly lives (v.3) with kindness and mercy. How can He justify to Himself such treatment?

Read II Peter 1: 5-7.

Notice the traits listed prior to kindness: faith, virtue, knowledge, self-control, perseverance, and godliness. Kindness, then, grows out of these qualities. Which of these traits do you need more of as you pursue a kind life?

Read Ephesians 4:31-32.

To have kindness you must first have control of your anger. What anger provoking circumstances tend to inhibit you most from being kind?

Read Luke 19: 1-10.

Prior to this encounter, what hope did Zacchaeus have of engaging in kindness with others?

Why do you suppose Zacchaeus reacted so strongly to Christ?

Who do you know that needs to experience your kindness? Why do they need this?

In the coming week, how can you make kindness more integral to your interactions with others?
