Learning About a Healthy Lifestyle > The Fruit of the Spirit - Faithfulness

Webster defines faithfulness as loyalty, reliability, dependability. Who in your life demonstrates these qualities? In what ways?

What experiences can cause a person to lack the quality of faithfulness?

Read Psalm 36: 1-5.

Here the lack of human faithfulness is shown in stark contrast to God’s faithfulness. Why is God so faithful toward us when we can be so disloyal toward His ways?

Read Matthew 25: 14-30.

The first two servants are called “good and faithful.”(v.21,23). The third is called “wicked and lazy.” (v.26). What does God look for in His people that distinguishes them as faithful rather than wicked and lazy?

Through what talents does He want you to demonstrate faithfulness?

Read Acts 4: 1-14.

This illustrates the faithfulness of Peter. V 13 says the religious rulers were amazed by Peter. (1.) What was it about his testimony that had been so impressive? (2.) How did Peter get to the point of being so faithful to the gospel?

Read II Timothy 4:7.

What would need to happen so this verse could be a summary of your life, just as it was for Paul’s?

This week, in what ways could you illustrate the quality of faithfulness?
